The Nude for Me

I discovered Nail Inc.’s Basil Street during my nail polish switch up and it was ‘the one’ from first swipe.

I discovered it at Edgars and as I held it up to my hand in-store I knew it was going to be a match, for my finger tips.

But it was when applied to the tips of my toes that it really brought out ‘the sigh’.  That moment you realise that not only is this money well spent but the start of a love affair.  The kind that makes you wanna rush out and grab 10 spares just in case - Shock! Horror! - it ever gets discontinued.  Combined with a bright blue on my fingers, my nails were in a happy place.

Basil Street is unlike any other nude I’ve tried.  Most others tend to give my skin the pale mannequin effect, which is normally what I want when I pick a nude as my polish of choice.  This one though, turned my medium skin tone towards sun-baked lane, which is just what you’d want in the summer months.

The formula is thin and buildable, the brush narrow and easy to control.  Add these elements to the light colour, and you have a polish that is virtually goof-proof.  Score!
