Sally Hansen Coral Reef was the ultimate accessory to the tropical print dress I wore to a hot summer’s night party.

I first eyed this polish a few months before I bought it.  I’ve never been a Sally Hansen nail polish buyer (although the hand crème is my absolute fave) but cult favourite Pacific Blue first sparked my interest in the range.  It didn’t knock my socks off as much as I thought it would so I didn’t pick up another one... until Coral Reef sizzled into my life in the spring.

With plenty of rain clouds still looming and a truck load of summer polishes in my collection, I knew I didn’t need it but wanted it so badly that I would gaze lovingly at it each and every time I entered Clicks Canal Walk, hoping it wasn’t sold out.  And then the stars aligned: I had a summer night, semi-smart, beach party to attend and was wearing a tropical print maxi dress with an identical shade of coral on it.  And the perfect excuse reason to buy it was born!

The polish was easy to apply and lasted a good five days (with a base and top coat) under summer holiday/party conditions.  It has stayed on my dressing table all summer and makes me break out a smile every time I see it.  I’m so pleased I bought it and I think the three month wait made me appreciate it even more.

Have you fallen for this colour too?  Which polish did you wait to buy and the wait was so worth it?
